PMA Sports Guidelines

FORMS THAT MUST BE ON FILE IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN SPORTS AT PMA

The M.I.A.A. requires that all students have a physical exam prior to trying out for and competing in an interscholastic sport.  A current physical is valid for 13 months.  If a student wishes to play a fall sport for the upcoming 2009-2010 school year, she must have taken a complete physical exam after July 27, 2008. To play a winter sport, she must have taken a complete physical exam after October 30, 2008, and to play a spring sport, she must have taken a complete physical exam after February 15, 2009.

Please note, a health history form must also be filled out by parents.  The health history form does not take the place of a physical examination.  Health history forms can be obtained in the PMA school nurse's office or in the main office.

PRE-SEASON MEETINGS

For all interscholastic sports, parents must attend a pre-season meeting with the coach and Athletic Director. This is an informational meeting for parents and athletes. Parents must pay the sports fee at that time and will receive schedules and directions to the games.

The 2009-2010 sports meetings will be held at 7:00 PM in the School Cafeteria on the following dates: Fall 2008 - September 8th., Winter 2009 - TBA and Spring 2009 - TBA.
